Clive Edwards the drummer is still on the go, and getting a gig. I met him twice when he played Webster’s and then Cottiers in Soapfreeville in 2017, with Terry Slesser’s Band Plays On (Paul Kossoff revival). I must have met him in 79-80 when he toured with Wild Horses, where his onstage companions included mentalists Brian Robertson (Thin Lizzy, Frankie ****ing Miller) and Jimmy Bain, a Proper Mannies nutcase bassman, who had so enraged his colleagues in Rainbow with his touring ****wittery, that Ritchie set fire to his bed, with Baino still in it. I think there’s probably a Deid thread on Jimmy somewhere below. Clive is a big fitba fan too, supporting Spurs and is expert at pressing the correct buttons to wind up the Geordies who surround him onstage, and the road crew.
