Plastic pitches are completely unfair, look at Livi's home record last year. Plus they get more income by hiring out their pitches

The bizarre thing is they installed their plastic pitch the summer they won promotion to the Premiership.

Team seem to have some self belief, which they will need

    It can be done

Indeed, clearly a deliberate tactic to try and stay there and it's worked. Basically following Hamilton's model for 'success'...

The 7 pts allows us to relax a bit about the next three fixtures (Celtic hame, Killie away and Sevco away) and saturday is definitely a free hit, even at full strength I feel we'd struggle to keep them from scoring 2-3 minimum, however MM may come up with something, be delighted if we kept it tight

I think we can get something at Killie but if worst case scenario we need to not start to panic or get negative about it cos every game for the next 2-3 months after is winnable

Yeah, as Shedka says it's possible that after 7 games we'll be stuck on our current points total of 7. Maybe we will come away with a point at Killie so it would be played 7, points 8. After that we've got St Mirren, Hamilton, Livi and we can try to fill our boots. Then the first quarter ends in mid October at home to Aberdeen by which time we could be sitting in 5th or 6th place with 15 or 16 points. So the moral of the story is lets not get too despondent if we don't pick up much from now til mid September & find ourselves closer to the bottom than the top. Mid September to mid October looks much easier & maybe we'll be getting in by then. Or maybe not. #onegameatatime

I dont think we can beat celtic but i think its more possible to keep our 100% record v sevco. It would be such a lovely thing to see. A favourite chant i recall as a boy was "go home ya huns". I am proud i got to hear it because it meant we were winning at the end of the game. it's about time it happened again. This time no fans but i wil certainly sing it in front of the TV.

Fully expecting a defeat tomorrow, it's the corner shop of Dundee United and Micky Mellon v the spending power of Tesco. I just hope we compete well in every area and give a good account of ourselves. It's another chance for this group of players to learn and another chance to see if we can step up in this league. Not seen any news about Robson Smith and LS, we could really do with these players back in. Whoever starts we need 100% for 95 minutes.

All we can ask for is that the players follow the game plan and give it their best shot.

I like the way MM plays his cards VERY close to his chest. I have no idea who is fit, or what our likely starting 11 will be. That strategy has worked in our favour so far.

Tomorrow is an interesting prospect. There are quite a few 'unknowns' there, which I think helps us.

But a REALLY stiff test tomorrow no doubt.

All that being said, I predict a 3-1 win for Utd. Just a feeling.
