Woody at the moment it is all paper talk.. If previous transfer windows are anything to go by, we will not know anything until it happens. If Doc goes to Spurs, you can bet that Wolves will have someone very good up their sleeve. I am not sure what the rules are regarding home grown players in squads, but that might have been the reason for the AMN connection.

Just saying on Sky that the talks with Spurs over Doherty are at an advanced stage. Considering Doc only cost about £75,000 we stand to make a big profit, and his Irish club also gain financially.

Anyone else feel like this window is going to be the most important yet for Nuno?

If we’re to progress the way Fosun want, then there are difficult choices to be made, maybe the sale of Matt Doherty is one of these? From my point of view this is probably the best Wolves side I’ve ever seen, good luck trying to improve it!

If Doc is going then as a minimum, in my opinion, we need two first team wing backs, and quality cover for Raúl. That’s assuming no further departures. If Raúl and or Traore go we should get big money which will allow for replacements...

Cameron John has joined Doncaster on a permanent deal. He spent last season on loan at the club. A couple of seasons ago he was linked with several Premier League Clubs. Good luck to him.

Marcos Acuna being strongly linked with a move to Wolves as a replacement for Doherty. Has played with Rui Patricio at Sporting. Similar age to Doc.

Hi Abbo, looks interesting but I suspect he’ll be coming in as cover for Jonny, he appears to be a left sided player?

It may be just paper talk, but Brazilian left winger Pepe is being linked with a move to Wolves. Reports suggest that his agent is flying to England for talks. Apparently he has been scouted by several top European clubs.

French CB Jean Clair Todibo also being linked.
