    Messi has asked to leave

Barca have confirmed he’s asked to leave.

I was against the takeover buy got admit it would have been mint if we had a chance of signing him.

I own all his shirts bar 2 seasons. Can’t say I’ll buy another one if he joins an English club that’s not us.

Had to leave though, Barca are in a state

    Not sure where he'd go.

If in Europe he needs to be somewhere he wins, or it tarnishes his legend.

I reckon he might go back to Argentina.

Think it's a play to get a director out of club.

    Wouldn't surprise me.

    Messi is very political.

He's done it before, although never publicly, usually it's just a quiet word.

sounds like it. President is apparently resigning and sneaking out the stadium to avoid angry fans gathered outside Camp Nou.

I doubt he will leave. If he does, I think he'll go to Newell's in Argentina to finish his career.

He just turned 33 and I doubt he has the physique to go on at the same level Ronaldo has. I think Messi is the better player, but he doesn't have quite the same athleticism IMO.

If he does go to say City he could probably pull a few seasons off though.
