Really pleased for the man.. After all the infantile irresponsible behaviour, from some of the English players, it is refreshing to see a guy who takes a real pride to play for his country. He has received shed loads of praise from England supporters all over the country..

He is at the moment, in the driving seat to be a starter for England in the forth coming Internationals. Playing far better than Maguire, who is right out of form.

I saw one comment on the Red Cafe site (Man U) "Is this Conor Coady any good, never heard of him". Shows how blinkered they are.

Since Nuno arrived and changed his position he has been a revelation. His leadership is important for Wolves and might well be for England, long may he continue in this rich vein of form.

    Could it be Dave Edwards?

Ron Flowers also captained England in between Wright and Hughes.

He’s quietly built up his career with Nuno’s guidance, he’s the model footballer in my view , ego under control and totally focused... worth making him England captain just for these qualities which are absent in so many of this generation of players. I think he’s really benefitted from being around the Portuguese players in the squad, they are generally so grounded.

Think it was Hugh Curran for Scotland at Wembley.

"During his time at Wolves, Curran was selected to represent the Scottish national team; making his debut on 5 November 1969 in a 2-0 World Cup qualifying loss in Austria. He won five caps in total, over an 18-month period, his one-goal coming against England in a 3–1 defeat at Wembley in May 1971."

He scored 47 goals for us in 98 appearances, quite impressive.

Another useless fact about him -

"Curran scored the first goal in an English league match to be broadcast live in Norway, Denmark and Sweden, when he netted the only goal of a game against Sunderland on 29 November 1969."

England should have started Coady today. Dier concedes a dire penalty, which Lukaku puts away. England got a penalty later and it’s 1-1.

Just don’t know how you leave a player that scores every other game for you on the bench

England/Denmark. Another first class performance from Coady in what is probably one of the worst England teams I have ever seen. Full of over hyped, over payed, poorly coached non entities, dreadful!
