Got thrashed 3-0. 1-0 halftime. Saw the twitter video of the lads coming out. Bamford looked like he just rolled out of bed, Harrison and Hernandez didn't look happy, none of the young uns looked particularly enthusiastic. Worst offender was definitely Casilla who quite honestly looked like he'd rather be somewhere else. Very disappointed. They are supposed to be professionals. Where's the pride and enthusiasm for starting a new season. I know White, Cooper, dallas, Philips, Klich and Aloski weren't there but you are supposed to be professional football players. 1st goal was from a corner scramble and early in the 2nd half, bamford missed a reasonable chance apparently.

Reality is, we were without: Cooper, Koch, Dallas, Klich, Alioski, Phillips, Rodrigo, Meslier, Forshaw and one or two others I'm forgetting.

We had Leif Davies and Oliver Casey at centre back, a midget full back and a kid who really isn't ever going to be a PL player. Oh and Douglas, who though I do like him, isn't PL quality. So really only one of our genuine first choice defenders was playing in Ayling.

If anything I just hope it makes them realise even more we can't afford to go into new season with only Cooper and Koch as recognised centre backs.

Other than that, couldn't give a monkeys about the score, it is about getting minutes in legs for those who will actually start the first few games for us in PL

Koch Rodrigo and Forshaw didnt play last season So we were minus Cooper Phillips Klich Dallas and Meslier Alioski. Which from them Meslier Phillips Klich will be certain starters for the rest will make up numbers.

Actually Joel, that's exactly what I want to see - real, hyped up, enthusiasm. They should want to crush Stoke into the ground.
I made no comment about the quality of the backline just the attitude. they didnt seem to give a rats turd. And that I think is wrong.

Never nice to see us lose but the truth is it was an 80 minute friendly and we have a keeper who will more than likely be gone soon and the majority of the 1st team are on international duty.

They aren't worried just upset with the attitude you would think most of them would be on the brink and wanted to show something.
