Less concerned about him being a "returning player" given the stage of his career he is at and his obvious desire to be here. If (still an if) we get this done, I just hope we dont expect too much from him. His goals per game for united was 1 in 2.7 which is very similar to Clark at 1 in 2.6 and better than Appere at 1 in 8 (bit unfair to have a young developing player considered purely like that, and only meant as a comparison). Goals per game not the best measure of a player necessarily but purely to make the point that he is not the same as Shankland and we shouldn't be expecting that kind of goal exploits. It is the versatility of style it would give us that makes me think he would be a good asset to the squad and would enhance what we have already.

The thing I like best about having Pav in the team is the fact we start defending from the front. Defenders don't get a second when he's on the park.

    Agree, excellent point.

Works hard all over the pitch, constantly. Would be a great addition. Here’s hoping.

Agree with that. He's always on top of them harassing them

He is a nightmare to play against. No full back or centre back can stroll about and pick an easy pass when he is up there. He rumbles up defending midfielders too.

I think his up and at em style would compliment Shankland who could find spaces in the box for good deliveries from all areas.

He can also take a goal when given a good opportunity. Just my opinion, but I would like him to return.

Hopefully it’s a good sign but I am quite relaxed about this. I trust Tony A and the Ogrens. If they decide that what is asked for is a bad deal then fair enough - don’t want held to ransom on the player where this might be quite a hard negotiation. It’s difficult where is a loan and then Pav is out of contract
