As a Villa fan I am glad he ain't coming to us. Not sour grapes and to be honest, I do not think he is the number 9 you wanted either. He is injury prone and does not score many goals. I'm sure you wanted a bigger Name.
The young LB from Norwich Jamal Lewis does look a good signing though, if you get him. I wanted villa to go for him but its not to be.
Anyway, good luck with the new season.

It’s where we are as a club I suppose, it might work out, he might be another Joelinton. No strategy, no forward thinking - just random last minute signings and trying to avoid relegation, which the fat fücker has got wrong twice and almost got wrong on numerous other occasions. Good luck with your season too.

126 appearances 41 goals so 1 in 3.Thats better than anyone we already have at the club.

Let's hope his serious injuries are behind him,he scored 20 League goals in Bournemouths promotion season but ruptered his right anterior cruciate ligament in 2015 then his left anterior cruciate in 2017.Played 4 times for England scoring on his debut.

Cheers, Dave. No, ideally he's not the player we'd all want but, unfortunately, at the moment that's where we are, What I will say is that he's a massive upgrade on Joe Shinton. And aye, all the stuff I'm reading about this LB sounds really positive.

He's young and needs to be coached properly to progress but, luckily, we've got world-class coaches with a proven track record of improving players at the club.

    Ah no, wait....

I was surprised that Villa withdrew their offer so readily when they learned that Wilson preferred the Toon.

We withdrew just incase something went wrong with this deal to Newcastle, contract, medical, change of mind etc what we are saying is he is on his own and cannot play one club v the other to get more salary. If it does breakdown, villa will not bid again, basically we have moved on!
Ps, wanted your takeover to go ahead, we need a team to stop the rot in the prem, it ain't going to be us for sure!
Sorry to bring the takeover back up as I know it hurts but to think who you could be buying is mind boggling, I know it would not have been Wilson..
Do you think Bruce will see out the season?
I would give Smith 10 games.

Unfortunately Bruce wouldn't get the chop even if we went down. Aye, I think Smith might be on borrowed time after last season.
