Our best defender by a mile. He's never been the same since that b@stard Kane took him out (and got away with it because he's the darling of the southern media and they gave him an easy ride-Shelvey commits that tackle and it's a retrospective 3 game ban minimum and all the papers calling him an animal).

    Wtf is Mrs Doubtfire thinking?

Agree he is our most skilful defender but he has not been anywhere near his best for a long while,a few games for Alaves in Spain this winter might do him the world of good, judging by the friendly against Boro he is not ready for Premier opposition.

A classy defender and, like Schar, a ball player. I think he could also be top class with the right coaching .....(!). The only doubt is that he’s starting to look like an injury prone player.

although i agree he is our best defender, i can see the clubs thinking on this one. ACL injury in both legs wasnt it?

He needs a season under his belt before getting thrown into our dog scrap every week.

I mentioned the other day, Bruce wont play Schar or Leujeune because they are classy ball playing defenders.

Bruce prefers battering rams who will throw themselves in front of a boot (look at the clip of Bruce's chops ffs)

I have a feeling he will play Dummett at CB, he throws himself in the way and is actually better than Lascelles imo.

And Schar will be next, our two best CBs being dumped and the Brucey cloggers kept on.

He hasn't been the same since the 2nd ACL so I can understand the clubs reasoning.

However with Tanya that this is a Bruce move as well moving out a ball playing defender.
