Once again the assertion being made at 'the other place' is that Jenkins / Nixon / Pattison are clinging on to their positions as directors of Holdings with almost 75% of the shares. Holdings owns between 93% and 94% of 1921.

I suggest that the complete opposite is the case. 1921 is in debt to Purepay (a Philip Day controlled company) to the value of £2.1 million and the total 1921 debt is over £3 million. As security for the debt to Purepay all the club's assets are under a charge to Purepay. There is also a 'joint and several' Personal Guarantee by The Three of that debt. None of Cumbria's best companies will provide sponsorship / advertising money nor indeed any other kind of revenue whilst The Three are in place.

Would anyone want to be in the position of The Three? No, as that debt escalated they have become totally desperate to escape from the overall situation of being directors and main shareholders. On a personal level they are at risk of having to deliver on the Personal Guarantee.

The suggestion that they are clinging on to this overall situation is utter nonsense. They have been desperate to escape for at least 3 years. But they are strapped in.
