OT James Bond

So I was reading yesterday that the probable next James Bond will be a black woman.

My view is fine, make a film about a black female agent saving the world but don't tag it onto the existing franchise.

However it would not please all I guess. Given the divergence of views on here, do you think changing the face of the franchise in this way is -

A) An excellent way to embrace diversity;
Political Correctness gone mad;
C) Don't care, don't watch the series

Assume here that it would have to be renamed Jaimie Bond perhaps!

If they want a black female lead it should be a completely different name and a different character......NOT James Bond! I have no problem with that at all.

Don't really care, it's not important, just fiction. Would be odd from an artistic perspective though. Don't see any issue with a black man, doesn't change the character that way.
