    whats happened to Mike Ashley?

Staff at Mike Ashley’s Frasers Group are in line for £100 million under an incentive scheme that will pay out if the retailer’s shares more than double in value within a few years.

The company formerly known as Sports Direct has put forward a resolution before its annual meeting on October 7 for a new all-employee plan to award the sum to staff if the share price reaches at least £10 for a sustained period in the next four years.

Firstly, if the staff earn that bonus then fat Mike will have earned much more. Secondly, in the current retail climate reaching the target is unlikely.
He’s got nothing to lose financially, and everything to gain while simultaneously trying to repair the terrible damage he has inflicted on his own reputation for dealing with staff.

True, planning law has changed fairly recently to make it easier to change from say retail to food & drink by merging a load use classes plus lots of incentives to bring disused town & city centre buildings into residential.
