Could Lawrence play that role? It’s either that or he’s on his way I suspect.

I'm not sure I see Lawrence in that role, Id have thought he was someone to play off a central striker in a sort of free drifting role much like Sibley may eventually evolve into for those games that he is not suspended.

Equally I am not sure Lawrence is on his way unless we need more cash - firstly I'm not sure he is saleable beyond championship level, and secondly Cocu seems to like him. I just wish he could unleash his potential consistently, as opposed to sporadically

Geoff you spot on about Lawrence in that free role I've always said he should be playing But managers seem to want out on the left so he can cut inside a shoot with his right foot . When he's out there it's easy to mark him out of the game ,he gets frustrated and makes silly decision Mick McCarthy got the best out of him by playing him in the middle with a free role. Cocu did that in his first match in charge at Huddersfield and after that played him wide left

Absolutely his best position is attacking midfielder with freedom to roam

Can't work Cocu out he's spent weeks telling us need a right sided winger attacker Then spends £4million on a lad who says he prefers to play in the left He wants a goalkeeper who can play it out to the defenders and signs who says he's never had to that in his career
