    Sheff Utd Match Day Thread

Earwig Joe! Start of another season and hopefully a good start to celebrate Nuno's signing. I think our 1-0 loss to Utd a few seasons ago in Sheffield was the last game I attended. Bad result, awful game, played in the most miserable weather which is typical for nearly all the games I have managed to get to in the last few years.

Still, fresh start today. COME ON MI BABBIES!!!!!

Starting XI: Patricio; Boly, Coady, Saiss; Traore, Moutinho, Donk, Marcal; Neto, Jimenez, Podence

Subs: Ruddy, Neves, Silva, Jota, Vitinha, Vinagre, Buur

Traore was fouled less than 15 seconds into the match! Off and running

The only drawback is that it's so early. 80+ minutes to play. Long time to sit on a lead. Hope we don't back off too much and lose momentum.

Been a little bit quieter since the fast start, but we haven't let Sheffield have a ton of momentum and have still been playing that organized, quality defense that Nuno has us known for.

Great start, but game still in the balance really. We have got a bit sloppy and Utd have upped their game and got more physical. If they get the next goal it will be a nail biter. Hopefully we will come out fired up again after the break and get another early goal. What we can't afford to do is sit back and let them start pumping in the crosses, if they happens there is every chance they will get a couple.

HT 0-2.....Excellent first half performane from the mighty Wolves. Two very early goals by Jimenez and Saiss put the pressure on the Blades and Wolves dominated the half with some very workmanlike football which was easy on the eye. United came more into the game during the last 10 minutes, but were clearly rattled by a quicker, sharper Wolves who refused to be intimidated by bullying tactics. I imagine the second half will see even greater physicality from the Blades, but if we continue where we left off then we have a very good chance of taking all three points....Go You Wolves !!!

FT 0-2 and a win we thoroughly deserved. United were much improved after the break and were unlucky not to get a goal early in the half. As expected, they also tried a little bit of thuggery to upset us, but today it didn't have the desired result and we managed to walk away with all the points......well played you Wolves !!! Nice way to start the season, may it continue.
