As a free agent Ibe wouldn't cost anything up front but I guess will want a decent salary by championship standards, but if we could help kickstart his career then we can flog him when we fail to get promotion this year

Surely if he can get back playing and looking good
Derby would have a valuable asset on their books. If someone was prepared to pay 15 million once ,there must be a talent in there somewhere
    Anyway I'm all for it
Yes your right Eddy he was really good for us Lets hope he can get that form back ,he's some player when he's at it ,very two footed as well , free agent so not a lot to lose . He didn't play much at Bournemouth because Howe said he was to inconsistent but I always think most wide players are like that .

He’s still young...only 24...if he can rediscover form and commitment he could have another nine or ten years of excellent earnings and possibly one or two lucrative transfer deals in front of him. If nothing else focuses his mind hopefully that might.

I suspect that he would be a little way off match fitness though, having played very little over the last 12 months.

Still, I would take a gamble, especially if his wages could be linked to appearances and/or performance.

We can't sign him till we get more out the door ie Zoon. Reports today say he's talking to Newcastle so we don't have much opposition really

How are we going to sell Zoon???? Is Anya still on the bloody books?

Either way, at least Cocu is trying to build a side. Lampard got rid and brought in loans, we're suffering for it.

That is where Lampard was acting for himself and not for the club - bring in decent loans, try to make the team look good and get the chance to move on to higher things immediately as a result, and then leave the wreckage of no development plan behind him as he takes Abramovic's millions

Anya went in June at the end of his 4 year contract. 27 appearances in 16/17. 11 in 17/18. Zero in 18/19 and in 19/20. 38 apps in 4 seasons and just 1 goal. No idea why he appeared to drop out of favour and he played some U23 games in the last 2 seasons so wasn't (always) injured.

    What went wrong?

Zoon has a year left on his contract if I remember correctly. Not been given a squad number. He did feature in pre season but appears to have been cast aside.

Has he been told he's free to find a new club?
