    Edwards cleared by panel

Dundee United defender Ryan Edwards won't face retrospective action for challenge on Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos.

3 former referees didn't reach unanimous decision that a red card offence was missed

Not writing him off but he has looked poor, hopefully prove my doubts on him wrong given its only two appearances.. but if he isn't in the team on Saturday, at this stage I'll not be disappointed.

Agree with the above but it was a wonderful tackle.

He seems very pedestrian and will hopefully improve with fitness. Hopefully.

It was a perfect tackle and showed a bit of gusto which is all too often missing, well done to him.

How did it ever get to any type of panel? The ref saw it, dealt with it. Acknowledged it was a simple issue. Back to the same old SFA bias and having so called experts and pundits who are simply totally schecht and pretty self serving and ignorant.

Good old Daily Rangers - 'Ryan Edwards has dodged retrospective action' and he 'escapes a ban after Alfie clash'. Excellent unbiased reporting as ever.

Utterly ridiculous tbh. How is it none of these ****ing expert pundits saw him clearly play the ball?

This all started with Alex Rae on currant bun TV setting the narrative. He immediately declared Edwards meant it and it was a horrendous tackle. I'm glad the panel weren't swayed by the the lynch mob. Dermot Gallagher examining it on Sky didn't even think it was a foul.

Dermot is right too. These pundits ought to be held accountable for their comments tbh. Edwards should consider taking retrospective action against the useless ****s on sportscene instead.
