Listening to Radio Sheffield last night the ownership haven't a cat in hells chance of removing the club from Oakwell .

The EFL have some pretty stringent rules in place to cover this eventuality because of what's occurred over the years at other clubs who have lost their ground to unscrupulous owners .

The only people who should be worried are the consortium themselves who have just revealed themselves for what they are even further .

The divide amongst the fans is narrowing by the day as they show the depths of what they would be capable of given half the chance .

They are also exposing themselves not only to the clubs they own but any prospective ones they may add in the future .

Classic cornered Tiger tactics coming through from the dear consortium .

This event may prove to be a good thing for us and they sell up very quickly on the back of this .

They may as well , its heading towards irretrievable breakdown .

    Si thi .

cant blame em for wanting to buy the stadium or look elsewhere.

theres a few rumours going round there looking top of birdwell/hoyland dearne valley parkway.
They should have known all of this when they purchased the club , it's why you pay lawyers to go through the small print in business deals , well you do if you are smart .

They should also have known about a lease that was signed placing all the repairs and maintenance of the stadium on the club when Oakwell was split 50-50 with the council .

No foul play here just the consortium trying to renegade on the agreed purchase price and prepared to throw everyone under a bus to achieve it .

Even if they'd gone to Citizens Advice they could have told them what these covenants & restrictions amounted to.
Someone on here mentioned a strip of land being owned by someone preventing the West stand being developed.
That's also common practice - it's called a ransom strip.
People often sell large parcels of land deliberately withholding narrow strips of land preventing builders getting access.
They then charge large sums for this strip of land because the land is no good to the builders if they have no access to it.
There are lots of devious practices but a half decent solicitor should pick them up.
