Just got back from North Cornwall. Not been for a while. Mawgan Porth, Port Isaac, Rock, Harlyn Bay (wonderful beach). Padstow was massively overcrowded - need to arrive before 10am or the car parks are rammed. Locals have been quite innovative on entertainment - various drive in cinemas and dining. The fancy restaurants - Rick Stein, Nathan Outlaw, Paul Ainsworth etc (if open) - have to be booked weeks in advance. But we found plenty of local “gems” which were better value. Very dog friendly everywhere which suited us....

Wife wants to go back...and try surfing next time...!

Currently at Par Sands near Polkerris, surprisingly it hasn’t been too bad on the south side of Cornwall, Windy of course but not as bad as it could have been, today looks pretty good will no doubt have a swim later this afternoon.

Me: Next week at Bedruthan. Weather forecast is bright and breezy. That'll do me.

It’s manic down here and I’ve made a mistake by not waiting another week.

Bloody holidaymakers everywhere and roads are a nightmare.

You’ve made a wiser choice tbh.

Bloody holiday makers eh! One of the great delights of having a retired teacher as wife is holidays without the company of other peoples kids.

Staying with friends in Dorset night before so we don't have too far to travel. Enjoy A30/M5
