You are right that Kettering. Dawson had faults but better than what we have in my opinion. The difference between Foster and Johnstone is the difference between a Porche and a Morris Minor!

I can honestly say Dave - I have never seen a keeper who commands his box so poorly, and kicks it out so badly. Dreadful keeper!!
Look at the difference on Wednesday - Button was the opposite - totally commanded his box and most of his kick outs found one of our players! Even the best defenders would be a bunch of nerves in front of Johnstone! Likewise - Foster always inspired confidence in those in front of him!

Difficult to dump Johnstone as he has been our No 1 for two seasons now. But the difference Button brought against Harrogate in terms of presence, command and confidence was tangible. You see it even on TV.

And also agree about Dawson.... he had grit and determination.... better than our current central defenders...can play RB too.... I would welcome him back but unlikely I guess
