Well lets agree to disagree. With the right coach Mitro is a very capable player.Oh by the way I wasn't banging on about him ...... I thought a discussion about him was the purpose of this thread.I personally haven't given him a second thought since he left.

    If we are comparing strikers....

Rondon is the man who should he here....

Better than Mitro (who he replaced)
Better than Joelinton (who replaced him)

Having said that... i believe Wilson is a cracking signing

He’d still be at Newcastle if he didn’t get that red card against I forget who when Benitez was manager. From that moment Benitez decided he can’t trust the ****er and he was done at the club.

He should’ve been red carded within literally seconds of his debut and was fortunate to escape with a yellow but from that point, made himself a target for trophy hunting refs. Would be more at home as an extra on One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest than on a football pitch.

Getting rid off Mitrovic was an mistake. Rafa thought he was juvenile but hes captain at the moment. Wilson and Mitrovic would be great pairing.

Maybe but not as good as Rondon and Wilson. That combo would become lethal with a bit of work and experience.

I agree it was a mistake to let him go given what hes doing now. Once you lose Rafa's trust that's it. I think that's a failure on his part as a manager not to work on Mitro's discipline. He was 22 so hard to say he was a lost cause who will always get a red card.

If it was Rondon OR Mitro though...........Rondon every day just because of our situation at that point in time. We needed to survive. Very short term thinking though. Should have loaned him out.
