    Millwall Post Match Thoughts

Well it's P2 W1 L1 F1 A1 PTS3 and down to 15th. Sounds like a lot of huff and puff and lacking that little bit of quality to turn draws into wins and defeats into draws. Deja vue all over again maybe?

    Thoughts on today's game?

The most important thing is we have a championship team.

    Hurst needs to start.

The mistake cost us but the future looks bright

Missing some creative distribution in the centre.

Smith coming so deep to get the ball he might as well be a CM.

Not much between the teams today.... Just a bad mistake by our captain which at this level is often the difference. To say Millwall we're up towards the play offs last season they weren't much today at all.

Hirst looks good. Should get the nod ahead of Freddie next week who, again, did nothing.

It's striker department we are missing.

We haven't got any to this level. Pinning all our hopes on Hurst who on that showing must start

We didn't deserve to lose yet they didn't deserve to win.

I thought that taking Freddy off was a mistake. Smudge will run and run but we played right into their hands when he was left on the left hand side of the park.

Quite a few good performances but why is Mattock playing with us at this level. He's absolutely brilliant!

I definitely need a stress ball.

Stupid mistake by Icky which cost us
Thought we did ok in first half with Lindsay and S Macdonald stand out players
Not sure what happened in 2nd tbh maybe losing the momentum when we subbed which I thought Vassal should have come on for Ladapo
Sadlier I thought was in the right places first half but didn’t do owt when got ball
    Where’s Ogbene’s speed gone?
All in all it was just ok and that’s obviously not good enough
    Changes next game I think

I thought we looked as good as them although they didn't look like a team 2 points off a play-off place last season.
The difference in the teams was the disastrous error by Icky.
    Hirst looked promising.
    I thought Mattock played well

There was a certain G Hurst who some may remember from 1966. The one that plays for Rotherham is G Hirst.

One effort on goal in 90+ mins tells the story.
