Southend United are in serious court proceedings in 6 weeks over a debt of almost £0.5 million. At Carlisle most of the Southend team were not old enough to shave and in this their first away League Two match of the season they were one short of a full bench.
Carlisle United's finances are on the most shoogly of pegs. We have to consider the entire debt which is bundled up into a total debt of £2.89 million to EWM. We have to sing the praises of that wonderful man Philip Day. Surely there has never been a more handsome and genial bloke. If he wakes up one morning having not had a good shag then it will be the end for Carlisle United.
