    Our Summer spending

Is that it, do you think?

Everyone knows we desperately need another striker and someone creative in midfield as a bare minimum but it doesn't look like anyone's on their way (apart from a Peruvian for whom the term 'bargain basement' doesn't really convey how deep down that basement is...and also, I suspect, plays fast and loose with the term 'bargain').

With Bruce's shocking tactics and coaching, is this squad good enough to survive? I'm not sure it is. I know we're only two games in-and originally I didn't have us in the bottom 3 in my predictions for the season but today was a worrying continuation of some of the absolutely shockig displays which characterised much of last season.

    Thoughts.

I don't think we will spend anymore money, possibly one or two loans in...one of which will be a CB for some reason??? The other will be a young striker we will never use...

I don't think we will go down...but as you said more of the same...bad team performances saved by sporadic good individual performances from the Saint, Miggy, Fraser and Wilson...the bare minimum once again...

We’re going down if Bruce remains in charge. Our dumb luck with us in bottom 3 for expected goals cannot continue without it catching up to us.

Dreadful today , we made Brighton look far better than they are. Hope Allain isn’t too badly injured - although it seems like it’s from Tuesday night so not looking too good.
I still think we made a couple of good signings - it just isn’t enough.
Poor Wilson - especially first half - service non existent. Took us 63 minutes to even make an attempt on goal

It’s going to be another long season - and as bad as we were - the obvious Commentators bias towards Brighton was very noticeable - is this our punishment fir daring to chastise sky lately

Probably - our defeats will be gloried in a lot more than usual this season by sky. Our wins will be luck.

I don't know about going down just yet - wouldn't like to call because our West Ham performance can be used as the counter-balance to this one.

In regards signing. I think we'll get a couple more on loan but no more money spent - Our main aim at this point should be making sure we don't sell someone like ASM to balance books. All these signings were when Mike thought it wouldn't be his problem moneywise. . . now it will be.
