    City Matchday Thread

Serious game today. Aren't they all? Will tell us a lot about how the season is going to go with the new faces in place and the reality of no Jota. I am quite optimistic myself but we shall see.

As normal I will be, hopefully, streaming the game. Good, foreign, commentary with no BLM bull$hit thrown in. Interestingly NBC sports will not be making either of today's games readily available, you will have to sign up with their new "Peacock" service to watch. It will be on a free "trial" basis which will obviously switch to a subscription requirement quite soon. Only one game was available on both Saturday and Sunday, tellingly yesterday they showed the Leicester/Burnley game on NBC and if you wanted Pool/Chelsea you had to use Peacock.

Inevitable I guess. Money grabbing Barstewards!!

Come on mi Babbies, let's have a result.

We have had some good results against Man City in the last two seasons, long may it continue. However, I think this will be a severe test tonight. Hopeful, but not confident.

City possibly without Mahrez and Gundogan now as well as Aguerro and LaPorte.

I can't help but think that we are going to exposed down the RHS, without an experienced RB. Sterling will no doubt be trying emulate Tom Daley in the penalty area...

Pretty sure I have just heard Sky in the other room, saying that if we score tonight it will be our 2,000 goal in English football. Very few teams have achieved that feat. It may get confirmed during the game if we score.

A glimmer of light ... BBC

A bit more information about the Manchester City side.

The Blues are without seven first-team players. Ilkay Gundogan tested positive for coronavirus, Aymeric Laporte has just returned to training after his own positive test. Sergio Aguero has a knee injury.

In addition, Eric Garcia has had stitches in a head wound. Joao Cancelo has a foot injury, Bernardo Silva and Oleksandr Zinchenko have muscular injuries.

It would appear that my hearing is shot. It will be our 2,000 win, should we manage it.
