Well of course there will be false positives as there nearly always are in medical tests. However she seems to be mixing up false positives with tests that are negative. e.g. 90% of people taking the community tests are negative, i.e. they think they have the virus, get tested, and don't have it. At least that's what I could make out from her ramblings, I might be wrong as I gave up after listening 3 times and trying to decipher.

According to the latest reports the public is "tiring" of Covid restrictions and coming round to the view that many thousands will die each year just like flu but at least they'll be able to go to Ibiza and the pub.

Professor Carl Heneghan, clarifies the issue. He was the man who exposed the errors in the figures the other month when people who had recovered from covid then died of other causes were being included in the stats.

The main lessons to be learned from Covid 19 are:

Grandparents are nice to have (sort of) but not if it means giving up footy, boozing and sh*gging at uni.

We want to be part of this society (and only a few of us actively want to kill you) but not if it means giving up on our weddings, funerals and crazed religious ceremonies.

The next virus should be more virulent and be particularly lethal to 18-50 year olds.

The interviewer says 'may be wrong'. She then goes on to assert 'we're basing strategey on fasle data'.

    'may; meaning - expressing possibility.

She could just as easily said 'may be right'.

A false positive rate of below 1%, means 9 out of 10 positive cases being found will be wrong?

Seems a bit of a sensationalising leap by a journalist rather than a sound medical argument by an expert.

I've just had to have a sit down, you've actually shared a credible scientist making a reasonable point.

It doesn't really back up what the talk radio journalist appears to be saying though.

I have shared numerous credible scientist and a few duffers.

You have famously missed the point I was making from the outset.

Following "The Science" as governments the world over, are claiming to do is complete nonsenses as "science" is not a unified body of thought. There are credible scientists on all sides of the debate, plus cranks and crackpots.

My point from the outset is that the scientists who are driving our campaign have links to huge pharmaceutical companies. One of these companies currently involved in yet another investigation for fraud. The same company has paid out millions in fines over the years for bad practice.

"The Science " from the beginning has been challenged by experts from the outset. These people have been silenced, marginalised and had their careers threatened.

Parliament has not debated anything. Boris is ruling by decree. The shameful lack of opposition from Labour has been a disgrace, especially when 6 million will soon be unemployed.

I proposed right from the beginning, a short sharp lockdown, while parliament debated this and heard expert opinion from all sides.

I note a letter signed by more experts was sent to the government this week about Corona.

One of which Prof Gupta I referenced months ago on this site.
