Match Thread vs. Harrogate Town 22.09.20 [FAT SF]

Here's how we line up tonight. Looks a strong team on paper, with a strong bench too. Fingers crossed the fitness is up to it.

    Dazzling fact.

This is not the first time we've played a semi-final carried over from the previous season, 13/Sep/1937 Watford away in the sem-finals of the 3rd Division South Cup, we lost 8-3.

County Cup games were often carried over, sometimes not played until two seasons later than originally scheduled.

Harrogate are better, sharper, look more professional than we do. Has Roberts completed a pass yet? Let's hope we improve.

    6 corners to our 0.
Only one team has turned up so far.

The only plus is our defence looks more solid.

Both teams look to play passing football, but Harrogate move the ball at a faster pace and more precisely. Fitness is probably a factor but it was the same in the play-off final. They look like a group of players who have played together a long time and developed that almost telepathic understanding. We're hanging in there though.

Defending well but not much going forward, Roberts all left foot and struggling to find a man. Thomas not had a kick.
