Will try to find and post the link to the stats that compare 2019 and 2020 with deaths in hospital v deaths at home/elsewhere.

There are for obvious reasons less deaths in hospitals as less people are being admitted but there are even taking into account the lower deaths in hospital worrying figures on the excess deaths at home/elsewhere.

We also know a lot of the deaths in the early stages were in care homes or due to a lack of understanding of how to treat it. Sadly a lot of the very vulnerable are dead so that now means there is a smaller pool of them.

Also the figures of COVID 19 in care homes is surging again so something went wrong with the shielding/extra measures.

In addition, a lot of academics and professionals have concerns about some of the tests being used giving a high proportion of false negatives which may be sleeping the figures. When Hancock and another minister were quizzed on this by Julia Hartley Brewer they showed a basic lack of understanding of percentages and statistics and how errors work.

People have lost time with elderly relatives where the relatives would prefer to see their families and enjoy the here and now and whatever time they have left - that is not being taken into account it seems.

It’s absolutely bonkers - 1984 meets Lord of the Flies meets Brave New World meets Animal
    Farm.

It’s all reactive too - where is the grand plan. Heaven help is when the reality of Brexit hits - irrespective of your views on it - I have no faith in any of the planning for it.

Biggest and most damaging virus out there is the WWW. I do not read the news anymore its full of 80% untruths and pure BS to put the fear of death into the populations.

I will say no more on this ... click here.

With you 100% in that George.

    Slightly different topic, but pertinent (I think), check out Sacha Baron Cohen speaking at ADL conference in 2019;

Interesting to read that many medical providers and facilities are in serious financial hurt on this since everything has slowed down/stopped other than the virus stuff.

some huge winners and losers on this "crisis".

People are mis interpreting the deaths around the world.People say not all deaths are due to covid as reported.the flu killa more people than this virus and ofcourse a lot of other theories professional and not so.
The simple answer is Covid 19 causes this deaths especially ill people with eg heart problems therefore exhilarating there ilnesss to the point there body can not take anymore.
The other thing is no one will ever know the real impact this virus has caused as we don't believe anyone so if they tell us the truth or not we all have our theories.
Take a look at this forum and the so many arguments heated words about most things and that is no different to what is portrayed out there with the virus.
People will be damned if they hear the truth and be damned if they dont.

The number of deaths is a fraudulent as this "pandemic".

My daughter had a motorcycle crash victim come in. Leg ripped off and basically brain dead. He died when they disconnected the ventilator (families wish).

Of course, he died of Covid on the death certificate. The hospital received 22K more in compensation from the government.

Surprise, the US leads the world in Covid deaths.

Nothing these people say and do is to believed anymore. Doesn't matter which country you live in.

oz, understand your concern but they've shut the whole world down and many of us know, deep down, they don't give 2 shi%ts about us. we are nothing but blood bags and a revenue stream to them.

they've established more power and control over us than any previous generation of tyrants could ever have dreamed of.

we are about 6 months away from 1/2 the football teams being in real serious financial trouble.

For those interested and as promised earlier this is a link to some of the EU wide data - the graphs make it easy to compare infection and death rates over the whole period and by country. https://covid19-country-overviews.ecdc.europa.eu/

the death rate curve is not tracking infections in the way it was earlier in the pandemic and the headline in the report is that the 72 day death rate across the EU is stable.

I was under the impression that spitting (disgusting habit in or off the football field), was to be discouraged? Watched a few matches in all competitions and there seems to be no reduction in expelling bodily fluids by way of the mouth, how come?
