Thread: Penalties nowadays

    Penalties nowadays

They are being given for minimal contact or less at the moment. Of last night's 3 only our first one should have been awarded. The other two were perfectly good tackles which resulted in the forward falling over. Talk about destroying the game. Are refs now too afraid not to give penalties just in case they have called it wrong and TV will show them up to be so? The players don't help, looking to go down if they feel the slightest contact (or less). Young fans are being bought up on this and will replicate their peers, both players and referees.
I need a new sport to follow. Tibetian yak racing may fill the bill.

Now that keepers can’t leave the line until the ball has been kicked how possibly can a professional not score?

Well some like Waddle and Southgate couldn’t even hit the target when it mattered 😭

Well, Diangana did and he's supposed to be one of our best players! Mind you, I thought our other four penalties were well taken.
