I completely agree with the clubs position on this matter.
It can only be speculated that this afternoons meeting will result in it being decided a vote being put to all member clubs as to whether they want the season to commence or not? If it does then I guess it would be behind closed doors until next year?
If the stumbling block for some clubs starting the season is the triggering of contracts and with no income it would put clubs in a perilously difficult financial position then that’s where support will be required.
Streaming games would provide some income and is better than nothing. The chancellor has announced a replacement for furlough in the form of a job support scheme. So if something along these lines of a government contribution to the players wages this would surely help clubs?
With less than 10 days until the start of the season there is not much time.
