Not seen the game but looking at lineup and from what I've seen prior not got a good feeling about Edwards, we just haven't strengthened, with Watson being let go it was ***** we improved this area

Reynolds/Connolly is still our best cb pairing assuming Butcher remains a midfielder

We are absolute ****e. Zero shots on target. Don't even look like scoring in a month of Sundays.

I'm not joking but Edwards is now up front.

There are a handful of players who were very good last season who have regressed under Mellon, that's worrying

I've yet to see the mythical improvements under MM that I've seen posted on here in the last couple months

Concerning, I now have huge doubts.

Hopefully we kick on like we much did after East Fife last year, although that was before league season began, this is with us being sharper than our opponents.. embarrassing

Harsh to single out Edwards. He's not the man we rely on to create chances.

Not a single player is premier league quality, we are in for a long hard season.

Yup, the stats read like we're getting a bit of a doing. Their shots tally keeps going up while ours sits at 3, with none on target. They've also had more possession than us.

Can only hope this is some kind of experimentation By Mellon and he can clearly see it doesn't work and don't try it again. Any idea why Clarke is not even in the squad? What about McNulty? He's not in the Scotland squad is he? No recognised strikers is surely a problem?

Horsed on at home to Livi and league one Peterhead in the space of a week

A meaningless rout of league two brechin in between, maybe the worst team in the leagues last season and still scored a couple and caused problems, kelty hearts mid-week will be better than brechin for example
