Single worst post I ever made on here was taking the pee out of a contribution made by somebody who I quickly realized had genuine problems but was well meaning and well liked by a few people here who actually knew him.

It would be a shame if lurkers are put off posting their opinions for fear of being made to look stupid for a spelling mistake or bad grammar. It's not usually difficult to correct the mistakes in your own head to understand what they're getting at.

Fword fans are fair game though.

I remember POM from several years back - and I think i said hello to him once on the way out of a miserable defeat at Kettering.
So this is my return after (too many) years of silence.

Fingers crossed for Saturday, although I have to confess to being one of those who would have supported a change of manager after the play-off defeat. I'll try not to overdo that view though.

My concern this season is that we've reverted to signing players who have no knowledge of what it takes to win at Boreham Wood on a wet Tuesday. Yes, they might be brilliant - I really hope they are and I will eat humble pie.
But I wish we'd concentrated our strategy on players who know how to win at this level.

I think previously nearly all signings were from Ardleys knowledge or contacts. I think these are football radars recommendations along with a lot of others which Ardley has had to study, I don’t think he’s in a position not to try this approach with our owners, hopefully it works.
