    If Southend United resign (immediately effective) from the league or get wound up ...

    ... then that would result in there being just one relegation place in a 23 team League Two. We would have zero points and a goal difference worse by two goals. Carlisle United, Morecambe and Harrogate would have 3 points deducted and be deemed to have played one game less than they actually played.

    Southend United are in court in four weeks for debts approaching £500,000. Macclesfield Town were wound up for debts of £500,000.

    They could sell half the Sarthend Pier. It's long enough.
