I must take exception to the quip about the southern English. Firstly London is not english, it hasnt been for a very long time. East Anglia is gods own country.

The north is friendlier, but once youve made a mate down here is does last. Environmentally the south is much better. You can stick brummies in any open space, as well as stokies. Sheffield is wonderful, or it was.

My experience of the far norf is nil, ive heard its a great place.

Anyway, ive had an update on my DNA, its russian and eastern europe 51%, the Germanic europe 22%, the balkans 11%, swedish 3% southern italy 1% turkey and the middle east the rest.

Were almost related griff, with you being norwegian. Then again, maybe not. It is worth doing if you havent. Oh, the southern english will be far more diverse genetically.

When we go out for the day to Hunstanton, there is a monument to an english king, i cant remember his name, who landed there from Germany. He was german.

Britain was given to him by the german king as a gift to govern.

So there you go. It was about 856 or something. I will have to look it up.

Ive looked it up, St Edmund landed at Hunstanton to be crowned the king of Anglia about 856. The problem was the vikings who invaded, thats you griff, and had a battle near Diss. The vikings won, and shot Edmund with arrows so he looked like a hedgehog. He still lived and crying, they beheaded him, and threw the head into some woods.

As he was a christian, they went looking for his head after the battle some days later, and found a spiritual wolf guarding it, so that animals could not eat it.

There is a carved wolf by the 11th century church above the cliffs at Hunstanton.

The lesson to be learned is that people like griff, and norveners in general, vikings or not, are bloodthirsty killers out for a bit of sport.

Ely. As the white people of today are responsible for slavery hundreds of years ago, you are responsible for the beheading of St Edmund. I demand an apology. If there is a statue of you in Penrith, i will deface it if you dont.

    Stands to reason doesnt it.
