Hopefully give us an opportunity to get the new players to gel but sadly a chance we'll lose someone to injuries playing international games

    Too many games now,IMO.

Some PL clubs are now looking at more games via B-teams for their bloated squads too with a whiff of more money to be generated no doubt.

For some reason, Manchester City CEO Ferran Soriano thinks Premier League 'B' Teams are the future of the EFL.

Any views/opinions as we are now PL ?

Mrs. O most places in the world have the first team and then the reserve teams Then they go under 18s so on. A lot of players spend most of the team sitting on benches. I think that article was referring to this and if it does well I'm all in favour of it.
Let's take a look at the 2 two new additions how do they get match fit? The Spaniard has not even been on the bench.
And he is right if you keep loosing the players to other countries you pay overs to get them back.

A break to play an international is fine but why 2 matches? Was it necessary for England to play Wales in the friendly or any of the other friendlies?
Don't think B teams for the EFL are the way to go. The current system is working. We have seen quite a number of different clubs make it up to the PL and stay there. Not quite like the old days, when man united could be relegated, but its still a robust system. Leicester and Southampton and Newcastle, Aston villa had spells in the lower division but look like they are doing okay in the premier league now. Not to mention Leeds United. Unfortunately, the system has produced a few clubs that are too good for the championship but not good enough for PL. Norwich is the prime example.

I think by having B teams in the EFL, it would potentially be quite damaging for the other competing clubs.

If you factor in that one of the reasons young decent players stick with their clubs is for game time, by having B teams for big clubs I feel you are opening up a path for that talent to be ripped out of the smaller clubs.

No doubt there is a counter point to be made but there is no need for a club to have a B team. If a club has to many players they should be moved on. I dislike clubs that horde players, especially when it is a tactic used to weaken rivals.
