Never thought about Neilson in midfield. Might work in the air and pushing forward but..........(just my opinion) I think he would get ran ragged by sharp midfielders. He seems slow at most things he does. Deceptive at times when forwards take him for granted and don't close him down, but midfield is totally different.

Look at Harkes, he seems fit as fu*k, and runs aboot a lot, yet, normally can't pick a good pass, easily brushed off the ball and shoots like my wee sister. :/ To be fair , she is only 3.

Louie falling in to the same category, too slow, not sharp, bag oh sand not worried about being stood on etc etc.

I hate to add to the ‘dread’ but Shankland isn’t listed for Scotland tonight. Not even on the bench. He’d better not have gotten injured with Scotland again.........................

If Powers gets the nod on Saturday for centre mid and continually passes the ball left or right i think most fans would see this as us being positive after the utter negative backwards guff the usual suspects in that position have served up.

Butcher needs dropped but MM will never do it unfortunately, he's fkn gash in midfield and Harkes isn't much better.

Like most have been saying, we're going to have to rely a helluva lot on Fuchs - even though no one seems to know what type of CM he is.

I love how we totally sing from the same hymn sheet with Dillon WA.
