    Thankyou Charlie

Charlie mulgrew signs for Fleetwood on loan but as his contract expires at the end of the season,he has kicked his final ball for Blackburn rovers.
Thankyou for the memories and the effort during our promotion season.

We will still be paying a percentage of his wage,as it's only on loan.....sadly.

Yes, but we won't have agreed to just roll over and pay a high %. Yes they have a salary cap, and he is on way above that. We will pay a small %. But there are ways around paying that cap, where they can top up the rest in other ways. He is out of contarct anyway at the end of this season. And this was a cheaper option than paying up his contract in full. We can use the money to pay someone quality like Douglas with what was left over anyway. He was on around £25k+ ....massive bloody money! The League 1 cap is £2,500 per week!

Of course, I was thinking of him coming back early and us paying all his wages again.
I'd still like to know who benefited from his 100th appearance

This is huge. It meant we could bring a seriously decent player like Douglas in and pays a players wages who will play and contribute. This was as big as the decent players we brought in, getting this guy out of the club.

It may be Mulgrew himself has agreed a salary cut.
These blokes are seriously wealthy , anyway. Don't ANY of them put playing football first?
    I know - I'm being naive!
