You’d definitely take a point if you were offered it before yesterday’s game. That said I’m more concerned about the performances over the past 4/5 games. The team has not gelled, and MM persistence in playing butcher, Pawlett and Harkes together is wearing extremely thin. I get what MM is repeatedly saying about the team coming up from the championship and how the club is trying to move forward. But our inability to string a few passes together, create anything from the midfield, lack of service to our strikers and only getting the odd shot on target during 90 mins is extremely concerning. Even this early in the season. I really hope MM is going to change his system, and hers hoping McNulty and Fuchs can help change this.

Mellon post interview says he changed it to 4411 NOT 442.

The 4-4 was the important part yesterday.....width!!! The 1-1 effectively becomes a 2 in attack however with our midfield unable to link with the strikers, one dropping back probably isn't a bad idea.
