    Var

Just watched Everton v Liverpool, two VAR decisions that show just what load of b0ll0x VAR is. One where theEverton keep should have been red carded and at the death another where (apparently), one of Manes public chairs was slightly offside. F00king nonesense and should be done away with.

The governing bodies of sport have forgotten rub of the green is an intrinsic part of sport. They chase technology perfection without realising that imperfection is a beautiful part of it.

It's not var that's the problem, it's the muppets making the decisions after reviewing the incidents. Both ridiculous decisions against Liverpool but they've had their fair share of luck this past 2 seasons.so hopefully it has run out. Rumours on the net that Virgil has done his acl. .who knows?

Have to agree. I also agree that a big part of the problem is the person doing the VAr check. Cannot understand the offside decision. Watched Pickford clash with Van Dyke 3 times. The problem is the new offside rule where the linesman doesn't flag until play is over. If linesman flags immediately there is no way Pickford goes in for such a reckless challenge. I hope its not his acl. If it is, that's 6 -9 months out.
Yes, I can do without VAR. The Championship does, and are none the worse.

You can lead a human to knowledge but you can't make them think.

I always thought VARS was there to assist the ref. They seem to be over reliant on it. Why they never invited him to view the incident on the screenside t.v beggars belief. Whether it was offside or not is was a dangerous tackle and should have been a red.

As for the offside, that was a joke, what happened to the attacker getting the benefit of the doubt if level?

It is happening in loads of games, refs aren't being asked to view nothing on the sideline.

The people running the game are idiots. It's that simple.
The appear to have forgotten that var was only supposed to correct clear and obvious errors.
They should have followed crickets example and let the ref and linesman run the game and allow each side to have two challenges to whatever decision is made.

I thought it was there for "clear and obvious errors"; in which case I'd agree that the offside in the Scouse day out clearly wasn't "clear and obvious" if it's down to millimetres and even then you can't really tell, but bizarrely I thought it was right for VAR to intervene in then 'penalty' shout, they just came to the wrong answer, as clear a penalty as you are ever going to see and possibly a red card; VAR official must have been distracted by a squirrel he'd seen outside the window to miss that one.
