Last 10 and over a day old now so time for some cryptic clues.

    2. I'ma take your grandpa's style, I'ma take your grandpa's style (2nd hand shop to you patriots)
    5. I'll do all the shopping I'll do all the mopping (Group could be PWs best friend in his favourite team's colours)
    15. I close my lids across my eyes, And wish to see no more. (Band would be called The Commercials in the US)
    16. Some people think that Pele is the greatest that they've seen (Mohammed's military branch)
    18. I don't believe illusions 'cause too much is real (Describes most Blackpool B&Bs at the moment)
    20. It was a night like this forty million years ago (Not factually correct, should be at least 65 million years ago)
    24. I'm only human I'm just a woman (...and she kept Rainbow off the top spot as the 1970s came towards an end)
    28. And I'm so lucky 'cause I found a boy like you (Was this Mrs Healy calling out during ***?)
    34. Looks like I'm gonna be stuck here the whole summer (Sir Bob's daughter. Magyar had this but deleted his post for some reason?)
    40. There is good and bad in ev'ryone (If it wasn't for COVID this would be the theme of 2020, or maybe not?)

    15. Gary Gilmore's Eyes - The Adverts. (Would never have got that without the big clue and it's the only song I know by them.)

I felt sure I didn't know 20 so googled it and, while I was vaguely aware of the band, really did not know this one. Understandable since I was living a long way from US/UK when it came out. What a great track, though!

    39. Peaches - The Stranglers

...and I think you would be right, great_fire, but obviously not my place to make the call. (Having said that, what are the chances there would be another song with lyrics like that!)

As I said, great song. I watched a You Tube video of them performing it, which was excellent. The irony for me is that, although I've barely heard of the band, they formed in Detroit in 1979 - just a few months after I moved away from there to come back to UK for three years.
