No I am not. I think the point you make about testing young people is really interesting. I can't imagine anything more horrible for a young person to be told that they have fatally infected their parent or grandparent. Somehow we have got a blame game mindset when it comes to this virus. It's OK to blame experts and politicians for not stopping this epidemic but I think there would be an outcry if a young family member was told that they had given the virus to their parent or grandparent. Maybe personal responsibility needs to be encouraged for everyone?

Motivation is simple, all about the next election. They can turn around and tell the gullible that the restrictions implemented by them saved their lives. The gullible will have forgotten by then that we were actual denied basic civil liberties. I won't though.

Remember the advert with the green sludge with the daughter infecting her dad, only lasted about 2 nights then pulled.

Restrictions work they take all the glory, they don't work it's the public's fault.

Politicians are fooling nobody with half a brain.

Tainted, I think the point is that the public have been told and told that an MP's duty is to serve his or her constituents. The way we are working is that the SNP in Scotland are telling us what to do, just as the Conservatives are telling us what to do, and they are hiding behind statistics that are being prepared in such a way that is designed to frighten us into accepting what we are being told to do. If they flat came out and said do this or that, there would be a massive row.
You are dead right to ask why we have this policy, where is the test and trace evidence that backs up the policy. As an aside, when the Aberdeen footballers tested positive how many other people who were in the pub were also tested positive? Treble the number of tests and lo and behold the number of victims rises massively.

It was a bit pointless me travelling all the way to Islay to get my Covid-19 test when I can get it close at hand at Kings Cross Hospital.

The HR election will be about independence or direct rule from Westminster. If there is no indy majority, just close Holyrood rather than play the tory game forevermore. Mind you, a lot of politicians will struggle for work if that ever happened so doubt tories/labour will want that either

If you believe the false positive is as high as some report, then you also have to believe this virus is much more deadlier than reported as the same number of people are still dead, just far less actually infected. The whole testing thing is a bit ****.
