    'I wear a face covering......

    .....to protect my mates'.

'I wear a face covering to protect strangers'.

I have nothing to spread so maybe I'm just wearing a face covering to protect the politicians' arses?

In yesterday’s Sunday Times there was an article about the 1952 smog in London killing 12,000 people
which stated that smog masks were handed out which were useless.
Harold MacMillan who was the minister in charge at the time was quoted saying that we have to be seen doing something.
Fast forward to 2020 and once again the Governments of the day both the U.K. and the Scottish Government are insisting that we wear a
face mask in public places, shops and on public transport despite face masks not stopping the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

We are never going to stop the virus IMO. It will become endemic like flu so we may as well try to look out for ourselves and everyone else by trying to follow the rules. Wearing a face covering is what we are being told to do. It isn't being claimed to stop the virus. It is part of the approach. Some people find it intolerable and they should be encouraged to try to stick with the 2m separation.

The only "live" study has actually proven that face masks slightly increase risk of covid.

Report hasn't been reported on on any MSM.

there must be something else that should be done? This idea of shutting down the country is too much of a broad brush IMO.

    There is a place.

They are good at Eurovision, invading the Shetlands and they also had the best Muppet.

    Hi All,
Last Friday I had another Covid-19 test at Kings Cross Hospital and on Saturday afternoon a doctor from NHS Tayside phoned me to advise that my test was negative. Thank goodness.
Again I took the opportunity to ask the doctor a couple of questions.
    1. I asked her why we were being forced to wear face masks in public places, shops and on public transport when the face masks were no use as the Covid-19 was continuing to spread.
She replied that they knew that face masks did not help stop the spread of the virus and that is why people are being encouraged to maintain social distancing and continue to wash their hands.
    2. Why were restaurants outwith the Central Belt of Scotland not allowed to serve an alcoholic drink when their customers were sitting at their table eating their lunch but they could drink an alcoholic drink outside.
The doctor replied that recent research had been carried out suggesting that people standing too close together in a public house and people having drinking parties in the back garden of their homes was the cause of the increase in the number of positive Covid-19 cases in Scotland.
I asked the doctor what that this research had to do with licensed restaurants in the Dundee area where their customers are not standing at the bar as it is table service only. I further added that a ‘one size fits all’ policy is no use and the whole thing is nuts!
That was the end of our conversation.
