    Not a red card!

If Pickford's 'tackle' on Van Dyke wasn't a red card I don't know what is? I'm not saying that it was deliberate but it certainly was a sending off offence. How those idiots in charge of VAR could not see it I just don't understand. VAR, or more pertinently those operating it, is just not fit for purpose. It was introduced to combat controversy but it is causing far more problems than it has solved. I would get rid of it as it isn't working. Yes, it can decide if a player is a millimetre offside but it can't decide an obvious assault! Players make mistakes and referees make mistakes, that's human nature, so let's just live with it. It is also taking the spontinaity out of the game and wasting too much time coming to decisions and more often than not, the wrong ones.

A very good poster on here made the good point that VAR by definition removes human common sense from the decision making process. They don’t seem to have these VAR problems in Europe, we are making a proper hash of it!
