Money talks but I don't know whose money is shouting loudest. I am not aware of the profits being made by those who own football clubs. Usually the annual accounts are a horror story for owners, so if they are not making money this attempt to make football profitable by selling it to a bigger TV market might actually be essential rather than just an example of greed.p

Of course the rest of the clubs would be better off.
Every club in an SPFL Premier League would fancy their chances of wining it whereas at present it will be either Rangers or Celtic. The same goes for the cup competitions.
Attendances would likely increase especially for teams at or near the top of the League as ‘absent’ supporters return to watch their team.
If Liverpool and Manchester United leave to join a Europeans Super League that would free up two places for Rangers and Celtic to possibly join the English Championship. No doubt money would talk to facilitate this.
