Ath Madrid had a tie up or merged with a forces team back in the 30s or 40s.

    Air force rings a bell.

And slightly looser I suppose an armaments factory which Arsenal came from could be counted.

That's not militaristic. It's just a club acknowledging people who are serving and going beyond the free pie. They're likely doing it in some strange attempt to make a point of some sort but that doesn't harm anyone and certainly can't be called militaristic.

'Taking the knee' needs to stop. We've had the ridiculous situation this weekend of players showing racism the red card, in one case minute's silence followed by Celtic huddle then 'taking the knee'. If we continue this way players will be need to be out ten minutes before kick off to acknowledge all the flavour of the month causes and movements before they can even kick a ball.

    Needs addressed soon.

You say potato I say potato. I used the term loosely, this isn't Dictionary Corner.

We'll agree to disagree on that one. You actually used the word in the completely wrong context.

Don’t think it’s a well done thing, taking the knee has never been a thing in the French league.

It’s been said their players were showing respect for the murdered teacher instead.

The taking the knee thing could become highly controversial in future, if other political statements are not allowed it will show that politics in football is ok only if you are agreeing with some higher authorities opinion.
