Absolutely, where would we be without them, as you say in a right royal mess. Worth every penny they earn.

They work harder than Zohore or Phillips who should be thrown in the back of the vehicle as garbage!

I give em their due they certainly know how to drive them bin trucks at break neck speed after they have finished collecting the bins. They must drive em at least 50mph in a 30 zone I'm surprised there aren't many road accidents involving them

Our lot are super fit lads. They jog between pickups. It’s like they are training for the Iron Man event or something. Different from the old fashioned stereotypes of yesteryear

Ours today are great as was the ones when I grew up, the fact they do work like they do, away from wives, partners and family etc. at nights makes them heroes, no different from the one of yesteryear. The fact people try to make a statement between years gone by and today makes no difference other than statements like that is a sign of the times..

A mates daughter went out with a bin man – he steadfastly refused to pick her up unless she stood at the bottom of their drive

I thought our favourite mod would have contributed a rather good account of the appalling working conditions that bin men have to endure these days. It now looks as though he may have finally decided that since retirement, that his bird watching now takes top priority.
