    Injuries already!

Llorente - two to three weeks
    Phillips - 4-6 Weeks
    Cooper - 1-2 weeks wstimated
    Strijk - Doubtful for Friday...
    Forshaw - 3 - 6 weeks away
    Berardi - Available next April.....

Looks like a baptism of fire for some of the kids likely this weekend,

Ironic really, We buy an EXtra centre half, then all our first batch of injuries decimate the defence and defensive midfield slots.

Fortunately Kotch seems to be a more than capable replacement for White, and we have Ayling who can play centre back, Shackleton can come into the Phillips role - or switch with Klitch - who could drop back, Dallas switch to right back - Allioski in at the left back and bobs yer uncle!!!

    Easy Peasy.....

Agree with everything except Ayling at crntre back. He has not been good in the position in a 4 man backline. What alternatives do we have though? There is Cresswell but I don't think bielsa will trust him in that position. So I think it will be ayling in a 3 man backline. Ayling, koch, dallas(?). No idea who will take Phillips position.

Doesn't fill me with confidence, as long as we win I dont care, anything to shut gobby Dean Smith up, and that cheating diver watkins, basically I can't stand Aston villa.

Can't stand Grealish. We get reminded every game that he's the most fouled player in the EPL. But he's not, he just wins the most free kicks with his diving. Officials really need to get a grip of that. It was ridiculous Sunday night v Leicester.

Actually forgot about the most despised player outside of Birmingham, another cheating idiot who falls over when breathed on, and refs go for it, hopefully klich gives him a good whack.

So he is a diver? You know the mist fouled player in the league and your answer is to 'give him a good whack' you cannot make this up.
Tell me, why is Smith Gobby and Watkins a diver, you must be reading into something that we Villa fans cannot see and with all your injury woes, you still think you can beat the form team? Oh well lets see.

Think young ‘ very good Davis’ may get to play and Dallas in the KP role.
    Ayling, Koch, Davis, Alioski
    Dallas
    Costa Rodrigo Klich Harrison
    Bamford

First time we have played them since PB got felled by the phantom punch.

Dave - Smith is gobby as he has always had lots to say about Leeds as manager of Brentford and Leeds and mostly spouted drivel.

Not sure Watkins is a diver but Grealish sure goes down easily. That said Ayling is prone to the odd free kick winning flop.

Nothing wrong with calling Grealish for what he is. Very skilled but really "light on his feet". Everytime someone touches him he falls over. Often with drama along the lines of the finest theatrical skills of the worlds greatest stage shows. After a moment or so once the cards given or free kick granted he makes a miraculous recovery. Embarrassing for Villa and English football overall. Hard to watch after a while. Kind of like having to watch Big Sam coaching a prem team. Shows how far the three lions have fallen that they have to play someone like this to try to win. Sometimes it's just better to lose that playing someone so embarrassing to watch flop around.

we have our own diver so we are not immune to criticism. Bamford's not exactly in the Shearer category for staying on his feet.

Do wish that diving was a red card offense. it, along with offsides, is why we are all stuck with VAR slowing down the game.

If we know Grealish goes down easily, doesn't that make him easier to deal with, as opposed to a player who has a bit more guile and intelligence?

Grealish is a very good player irrespective of his upright stability. He was very good for England in the recent games.

Think Grealish, Watkins and Barkley will be a handful for whoever we have playing.
