In reply to the comments so far:
1) what's the point of talking about the days of planks like carl gilbert... when ALL teams had the same problem. Now they don't- it's just us... Keepers get sent off for fun now compared to the days of the big lumbering Gilbert.
2) What's the nonsense about a bigger squad? We are one short of the MAX size allowed... we've had to kick our centre half cover out on loan to meet that...
3) EXCEPT that we seem to have given early retirement to somebody who was any cop in goal and who has been living on free wages for SEASONS now...
C'mon tell me I'm wrong...
And finally: won't Warne look a right prat if the untried Johansson gets sent/carried off in 10 minutes tomorrow and we lose 10-0 against the league leaders?!!
In a different (proper) setup a hostage to fortune like this 'interview' would then lead to an instant sacking.
Finally it seems to me Stewart has thoroughly given Warne his head over recruitment this time around. The goalkeeping situation and this interview are a bloody disgrace.

Carl Gilbert went in at least part of that game. I think there was another one, also with McDonagh, where Trevor Womble went in goal. So a couple and 40+ years ago but the way our luck's been going this season...........
