Strange world message boards, this one has some comments bordering on liable, the other is full of attention seekers.

I think that Kessler should be appointed as a Moderator to this board, to get some insight into the workings, then drill down into the other board, what do you think Moderators ?

This one has it attention seeker tbf and we've got Griff as our leader and are happy with him,Kel comes on for a bit of mischief every now and again plus Acido and Tricky do the prediction comp so that's four,we don't really need another one

It is interesting to observe that a few rats are leaving the sinking s­hit. Does it make sense that no moderators deleted the obnoxious buffoon's account and all his posting history? Well, let's assume that this fable is true. None of them took any action at all. So, that being true he must be able to sign up again because none of the moderators banned him. The ethical blunder is that the obnoxious buffoon has been so for many years but at the time of the deleting of his account and posting history he had committed no such sins for a while on thecumbrians.net.

So, the moderators took no action against the obnoxious buffoon in several years of such presence. They acted in support of him when he should have been banned for life. Then when he had not committed any sins for quite some time a moderator deleted his account and his posting history. Thus something / someone decided that they had to take such action, which was a total turnaround from their previous long standing stance of protecting him. An associate of his assures us that he is also blocked from signing up. Ask yourself what a reasonable thinking person would conclude from the whole of that. The moderators claim that it is all a software glitch and they refuse to acknowledge the truth that he is banned from signing up again. They simply have not got the slightest concept of shame.

This is what I don't get about the mods. They act offended that anyone could possibly think they are liars, but it's their own actions and behaviour that are causing those suspicions. They've given a story that doesn't really add up, and when invited to clarify the details, they get evasive and say it's none of our business. In those circumstances, any reasonable person would be skeptical about their story. You might not outright accuse them of lying, but you would certainly have to consider it a real and perhaps even likely possibility that they are.

If anyone asks if the particular poster that we have in mind is banned, that is a very difficult question for the moderators to answer. What will occur is that the response will be an issue about the identity of the questioner, or a "none of your business" or anything other than a simple "Yes" or "No".

You can test that at any time. Simply ask if that particular poster is banned and say that the only answer that you need is a simple "Yes" or "No". You will not get either answer because both answers are equally damning of the moderators.

Think about it. If he is banned then the moderators have lied about it up until the time of giving that answer. If he is not banned then why can he not simply sign up again under a slightly different name, because the name 'Northern Soul' clearly is subjected to a software glitch.

So, simply pose the question asking is he banned or not, a simple "Yes" or "No" is all that is needed, not a lot of irrelevent flannel. The question is singificant, the identity of the person asking the question and everything else is totally irrelevent.

I posted an innocent post about where I think we will finish and that was enough to upset some **** on there earlier, very hostile at the moment.

Well it is a perfectly legitimate question that no sensible person could object to. Is Barry / Northern Soul banned or not? The only answer needed is "Yes" or "No". Has nobody got the b­alls to ask it? If their policy is to ban anyone asking that question then that in itself is total proof that the moderators are of an insufficiently honest character to deserve any traffic on that sight. They know that whether their answer is "Yes" or "No" they would be exposed as being dishonourable, so they use the threat of a ban in order to not get put in that position. But such threat itself as a response to a perfectly legitimate question exposes them as being dishonourable.

A ban, even a permanent one, should not be a sufficient threat to prevent anyone posing that simple question. To fear such action indicates a desperate need to be on that board despite moderator foul play. To fear such a ban indicates that foul play wins and that you are perfectly happy to remain there under such a ruling elite.

All the moderators on that site are equally to blame. It is more than likely that the identity of the moderator who did the foul deed is known to the other four moderators and they are all now a united force against truth. That makes all five equally guilty, despite some folk wanting to excuse their particular favourite moderator.
