The boys club formed a preconceived idea that I was not worthy.I played up to those preconceived ideas but the isolation got too much .

Amused to read the criticism of Chris Beech today regarding his comments re George Tanner.
Everything he said was both honest and correct.
Tanner did little to impress this season and his performance at Hartlepool was an embarrassment.
T'other Board seems to struggle to cope with honesty.

As you know I'm not a fan of Comedy Chris, but on this occasion I agree with him 50%.
It's been obvious Tanner wanted away this season, I assumed that's why we signed Whelan and Tanner was left out in the cold for much of pre-season.
It's accidental Whelan has looked a better centre-half when moved there last minute when Hayden self destructed. Tanner was only probably back in the team to keep his price tag up, but as Nigel Pearson rightly points out, do you blame Tanner or does the responsibility ultimately lie with the person who picks the team?
