The FA are trying to help young English players make the grade instead of mediocre foreign imports.

That seems like a good idea

It would be a good idea if it wasn’t for the fact that the FA and Premiership are simultaneously destroying the lower league teams where the young English players are coming from.

yes and that's why no fans are being allowed into stadiums.
The important league is underwritten by Sky and doesn't really need any paying supporters from a financial perspective.

Lower leagues aren't important to the authorities hence why reduced attendances aren't permitted and there's no slice of the prem cake

I’m all for our young talent coming through but ‘low quality players’ isn’t that a bit of a disadvantage on the bottom part of the Prem seeing that they don’t have the money the ‘bigger’ clubs do?
Seems to be dividing the Prem
They could maybe stop the clubs taking too many youngsters on just to build them up then get rid of half of them after they’ve too long enough to decide they don’t need them

    Yes that's another issue.
I seem to recall that Chelsea lend 40/50 of their players out to other clubs each season
We have one of them at the moment.
